Setting Intentions that Will Come True
Setting intentions that will come true requires more than mental activity; it is a process of engaging with the heart and one's deepest needs. Follow each of these steps carefully to help you set intentions that will come true.
Go to a quiet place where you can be undisturbed for at least one hour.
Be in a comfortable position and close your eyes or keep them half open.
Connect to your breath and connect to the felt sense of the experiences and feelings you desire in the new year.
Sense the needs of your heart that will be nourished by these experiences and feelings. Stay here and enjoy.
Gradually open your eyes and write down the images and expressions that came up. Then list the needs you sensed in step 4.
Spend time with each of them and make up a joyful and doable plan that you could follow.
Share the plan with someone who is happy to see you succeed.
If you notice you are not following through, ask for support, engage in a compassionate internal dialogue and recommit to the needs of your heart.
